Roy - our Small Business Profile is launching next week. Roy created a video for the Chamber and BIA websites. This is our club’s attempt to meet new members, promote their business, and increase awareness for what our club and Rotary, in general, does.

Adopt a Village in Laos, Water, Hygiene, and Schools
Mike & Dawn are Rotarians.
This is a cross-Canada project and charity. There is one paid person, who works in Laos for all the projects.
The water in Laos is not potable and must be boiled before human consumption OR the people can use a clay filter from Rotary. Water is available in streams; it is discoloured.
The Rotary filter is made in Laos. One filter provides potable water for 8 people for 10 years. The initial cost is $125.00; then the filter can be replaced, after 10 years, for $10.
It is the right of every human being to have access to clean, purified water.
In February 2020, their is a 11 day trip to Laos. The cost is about $4,000.00. There is space for more people to go with the group of 8 people from the Ladner Club +.
The Burnaby Rotary Club supports this project. In our club, ask Gloria about the project; she is our representative.
