Diversity, Equity and Inclusiveness .Empower women and children.

Provide support to Rotoract clubs who are now on par with the Rotary clubs .

Clubs are charged to ensure every Rotarian has meaningful responsibility

Board meeting following the meeting today to be attended by our District Governor John Berry and Assistant Governor Ron Shaw

Potential new member Alfred Esdaille To become a member of our club November 16^th ,2022 .

Gloria still collecting funds for Laos water project. Deadline Nov 15^th if you would like to purchase a filter. A list of all the people from our club who purchased a filter will be provided once the deadline has passed.

Birthdays - The ladies sang to Bob who was away last week . Well done ladies

Congratulations, Teanna. We at Rotary are very proud of you. The Judges undoubtedly had a difficult choice. I saw the candidates present at several opportunities, and all of you did so well ( though I am perhaps a little biased in your favour). And all the skills that you have learned will do you well in your future endeavours. It will be a very memorable year for you, especially if the pandemic restrictions are lifted.

My eldest daughter was the Hyack Princess, too. That was about 25 years ago. She quite enjoyed herself, with continued participation in the program and its personal development, and not having the pressures of being Miss New Westminster.
My second daughter was also Miss Friendship, too That was a vote held amongst the candidates. She was very happy to win that as well, though I suspect none of the people who voted for her ever saw her very early in the morning (She really was not a morning person.....but don’t tell her I said this!).
If you have a photo or two ( I suspect your parents might have a few??) perhaps you could send some to me and we can put it in our Rotary Clubs’ bulletins for our members.

Greeters This Week and the Next Two

Lets all join in and greet each other

Greeter Duties

Greeters are the first point of contact for guests, potential new members, and our members. Making all who attend our meeting feel welcome is the responsibility of all of us as we all take turns being greeters. All greeters should arrive no later than 6:40 am and be prepared to assist in setting up and preparing for the meeting. If a greeter cannot be present for their day of duties, please contact another member to fill in for you. Greeters will:

ensure that the sandwich board at the entrance.
ensure that flags and banners are in place.
welcome all members and guests and make them comfortable with the proceedings and surroundings, i.e., seating, coffee, schedule of meeting etc.
greet and sit with the speaker to gather information useful in providing a respectful and meaningful introduction of the speaker and the program.
thank the speaker and present the certificate of appreciation for their presentation. (Note: The certificate is NOT a contribution of $20.00 in the speakers’ name. We donate $20.00 to the Rotary Foundation in recognition of their presentation at the meeting.)
assist in taking down the flags, banners and place the sandwich board back in Kathy's office.
