Monica mentioned that we are looking for volunteers for the Pot of Gold golf tournament.
On June 2nd, Palmer attended the high school and did a presentation on behalf of our club. Palmer presented all of the awards and bursaries with a total combined value of $20,000.
Alana is looking for golf registrations and sponsors, so please email Alana for the forms.
Alana and Palmer will not be here next week as they will be attending their granddaughter's high school graduation.

Roy made a, "Good Morning" video four Doug, and announced that past member Arlene will be returning to our club.
Roy also spoke of a Gordie Howe story in which Roy randomly saw Gordie at the airport waiting for his ride to his hotel. Roy offered to drive and Gordie agreed. Roy was so excited that he was driving Mr. Hockey to his hotel, that he was tongue tied.
Kathy is soliciting Pot of Gold prizes, our club is responsible for 10 prizes.
It was Ron's birthday, and all of the ladies sang, "Happy Birthday" to him.
Monica wasn't able to join us for the installation dinner, but she received an award for 9 years of perfect attendance!
Rotarian of the year went to Hansi! Hansi has been on the board twice, she has been involved in the youth exchange program for 20 years, she helps with the inbound and outbound student exchange. Hansi has a big rotary family with 20 students and two grand kids. Hansi has been to two rotary weddings. Hansi said thank you to all!

Tony started with thoughts for the Orlando shooting victims and families.
Monica was in Powell River for her brother in law's funeral and she got rear ended on June 4th.
Alana and Paige received Paul Harris fellowships at the installation dinner, and the Holms' received major donor status.
Liz is having an open house Aug. 6th at her new house at 1028 Nanaimo Street.
Gordon's wife, Nina received a Paul Harris award at the installation dinner.
Nick was lucky enough to see Mohammed Ali fight live. Nick spoke about the time he was watching Ali fight, and during the warm ups, Ali went to their side of the ring, took his mouth piece out and said, "How much did you pay to see me fight!".
Harvey is going to Las Vegas next week.
Andrew spoke about the time he saw Gordie Howe at a tire conference. Gordie asked Andrew where he was from, Andrew told Gordie that he was from New Westminster to which Gordie told Andrew that he used to play hockey in New West in the old barn.
Ron is going to Nashville for a vacation. Ron spoke about the time he won a dinner with Gordie Howe, and Gordie talked to Ron's wife, Donna the whole time.
Paige is honoured to be a Paul Harris recipient. Paige recently quit her job to raise Olivia.
